We've meticulously chosen motorsports-grade carbon fiber for our AMS Golf R MKVII Intake Kit, ensuring both hand-laid craftsmanship and high temperature resistance. Unlike other options on the market prone to discoloration and cracking, our intake kit features 3 layers of 1mm twill weave prepreg carbon fiber. This material withstands temperatures up to 240°C while maintaining structural integrity and a flawless aesthetic, free from fading or yellowing over time. Moreover, the AMS Carbon intake eliminates the engine bay vents present in the factory intake, which often draw in hot air, impacting performance. By opening up the entire front grill and removing these warm air vents, our intake ensures that 100% of airflow is cold air sourced directly from the front grill of the car.

Integration with the factory turbo elbow is effortless, facilitated by the provided 3" to 2.75" silicone coupler. This thoughtful design allows for easy future upgrades to a larger turbo elbow or the AMS Performance Turbo Upgrade Kit, requiring only a simple 3" coupler.

PRODUCT NOTES 

• For vehicles equipped with Secondary Air Injection, a third-party SAI filter kit is required for installation. 
• As these motorsports grade carbon fiber parts are hand laid, slight imperfections or weave pattern variances can be expected. 
• The filters use specially designed media that allows performance and efficiency to be restored to near new each time by simply using compressed air (30-40 psi) from the inside out, making frequent washing  unnecessary in order to restore filter performance. For a deep cleaning from extreme environments, a biodegradable cleaner such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be used. Simply place the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner on the filter. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to remove residual water and allow a full day or two to dry. 
• Customers should be advised that two different colored logos appear on the MK7 Golf R intakes. The intakes are made from the exact same molds by two different Carbon Fiber manufacturers to help us match the demand for the component. We use this as a quality control measure so that we can tell the difference between the identical intakes if issues were to ever appear. The intakes are identical in design, manufacturing, performance and quality.
