ALPHA R35 GTR “X SERIES” TURBO SYSTEMS

Engineered for optimal airflow and power delivery, every component - from exhaust manifolds to G-series turbos - has been meticulously refined by our Snailworks© Engineering Team. With improved spooling and horsepower output, the Alpha "X Series" turbo systems set a new standard for quality and ease of installation.

OUR TOTALLY REDESIGNED TUBULAR EXHAUST MANIFOLD 

The updated 18X kits boast 2.0-inch external diameter runners, ensuring efficient exhaust gas flow to the "X" branded kit turbos. With a carefully designed interior, the manifolds undergo an extrude honing process, resulting in a smooth finish that maximizes exhaust flow.

THE GARRETT© G-SERIES TURBOS AND 3 INCH INTERCOOLER PIPING 

The redesigned Garrett© G-Series turbos mark a significant leap in performance, aiming to enhance horsepower output while reducing spool time. Integrated into our turbo kits alongside 4″ intakes, larger downpipes, and revamped manifolds, they deliver remarkable power gains, surpassing older technology. With the G35-1050 Alpha 18x kit boasting over 1650 whp, power delivery remains seamless without compromising spool up time. Featuring new compressor and turbine wheel aerodynamics crafted from Mar-M alloy, these turbochargers ensure superior performance across the entire powerband, thanks to trusted Garrett© engineering.

The Garrett© G-Series Turbo in this setup features a 4″ inlet and 2.5″ discharge compressor covers, enhancing airflow over smaller turbo systems with 3" covers. Its design maximizes compressor discharge for optimal flow within the GT-R's space constraints. Connected to a high-velocity cast 2.5" to 3" lower intercooler pipe, this system significantly improves airflow compared to its predecessor, ensuring efficient transition into 3" intercooler piping.

MASSIVE 4″ CARBON FIBER INTAKES 

The 4-inch compressor inlet of the turbo requires ample air supply. However, fitting 4-inch piping into a GT-R's tight space is challenging. AMS leverages advanced resources, conducting laser scans of the engine bay and using Solidworks© CAD software to design intakes. This innovative approach led to the creation of an organically shaped carbon fiber intake pipe. Despite its unconventional shape, it maintains a consistent 4" cross-sectional area throughout, ensuring optimal airflow to the Alpha 15x turbo kit.

Traditional clear coated carbon fiber, common in the industry, tends to yellow and degrade near exhaust manifolds over time. To address this, we opted for a high-temperature alternative inspired by hardcore motorsports. This material boasts three layers of 1mm twill weave, ensuring durability and preserving its aesthetic appeal without discoloration, even under extreme temperatures up to 240°C.

TIG WELDED 3.5″ STAINLESS STEEL DOWNPIPES 

As an additional feature of our 18x Turbo Kits, we've incorporated a 3.5-inch (90mm) T304 stainless steel downpipe set that seamlessly integrates with your existing exhaust system. Engineered by our Snailworks© AMS Engineering Team, this full 3.5" downpipe tapers down only at the exhaust flange, allowing for effortless customization. Whether you prefer 3.5" turn downs, merging into a 5" racing exhaust, or adapting to a 102mm off-the-shelf exhaust, our design offers versatile options. The included TiAL 38mm external wastegates efficiently dump exhaust gases through 1.5" atmospheric dump tubes.


NO CUTTING OF THE FRAME RAILS, COMPATIBLE WITH A/C AND POWER STEERING 

We engineered the new Alpha 18x Turbo Kit for a seamless bolt-in installation, preserving the integrity of your vehicle without the need for extensive modifications. While other kits may require drastic measures like cutting frame rails or sacrificing air conditioning, our kit ensures straightforward installation even at 1200+ HP levels. If other kits demand frame rail modifications below 2000+ HP levels, it's time to entrust your car to AMS Performance.
