The key elements of the INFINITI Q50/Q60 Red Alpha Cold Air Intake Kit are its sealed cold air intake boxes. Our expert SnailWorks© Engineering Team understands that heat poses the biggest threat to performance, so they meticulously crafted the Red Alpha air boxes to shield against high engine bay temperatures. Leveraging your car’s intake cowl, they designed air box openings that align perfectly with its air ducts. But our engineers didn't stop there; they identified further enhancements across all system components.

The INFINITI Q50/Q60 Red Alpha Cold Air Intake Kit features dry media air filters with an integrated bell horn, ingeniously designed by the AMS Engineering Team. This bell horn seamlessly channels clean, cold air from the filters into the stock MAF housings, eliminating turbulence that causes power loss and instability. Lastly, attention was given to the silicone that delivers cold air to the two Garrett turbos.

The air boxes and dry media filters constitute a system engineered to seamlessly deliver cold air to the VR30's twin turbos. In line with this, the Red Alpha silicone couplers were meticulously designed to ensure smooth airflow into the turbos. Further, wire reinforcement was incorporated to maintain their shape against the turbos' vacuum forces. NOTES 

• The filters use specially designed media that allows performance and efficiency to be restored to near new each time by simply using compressed air (30-40 psi) from the inside out, making frequent washing  unnecessary in order to restore filter performance. For a deep cleaning from extreme environments, a biodegradable cleaner such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be used. Simply place the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner on the filter. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to remove residual water and allow a full day or two to dry. 
• If you already own the standard Red Alpha Cold Air Intake kit, the carbon lids are available by special order separately. Please contact our sales team directly for purchasing information. 
• As these motorsports grade carbon fiber parts are hand laid, slight imperfections or weave pattern variances can be expected. 
• Due to material differences, these carbon intakes do not carry the same CARB EO as our standard Red Alpha Cold Air Intake kit.
