Since 2009, upgrading stock-style turbos on the R35 Nissan GTR involved using OEM "turbofolds" and machining housings for aftermarket CHRAs. However, these methods had limitations like poor boost control. With the 2020 GT-R, our AMS Snailworks© Engineering Team revamped turbo kits, casting our own two-piece manifolds and housings to address OEM shortcomings without costly core charges or machining delays.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CASTINGS FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE APPLICATIONS 

The R35 GTR traditionally features a one-piece "turbofold," integrating the turbine housing into the manifold. While space-efficient, it complicates upgrades. The 2020 model introduced a two-piece design, inspiring our OMEGA turbo kit line. Utilizing this innovation, our AMS SnailWorks© Engineering Team meticulously optimized the runner, collector, and turbine housing for enhanced exhaust flow surpassing OEM standards.

Our casting boasts a redesigned wastegate port for superior boost control and minimal boost creep. With a 27% larger wastegate port, it ensures smoother exhaust gas flow, optimizing efficiency for both turbine wheels and wastegates simultaneously. Crafted from proprietary exotic materials, the AMS OMEGA turbo line offers enhanced corrosion resistance and durability under extreme temperatures.

THE OMEGA SERIES TURBOS & TIAL WASTEGATES 

The TD06H-20g turbocharger is renowned among enthusiasts for its exceptional spool characteristics, power, and reliability. Our OMEGA 9 turbo builds upon this legacy by enhancing the CHRA with a billet compressor wheel. This upgrade not only reduces CHRA weight for quicker response but also enhances aerodynamics for improved spool and airflow. With the OMEGA 9, we provide a budget-friendly solution without compromising on horsepower.

For enhanced power, our AMS-spec TD06H-based CHRAs feature our surge-ported 94mm inlet and 54mm discharge compressor covers. These custom cast aluminum covers from AMS Performance facilitate superior airflow compared to standard 3-inch or OEM 2-bolt covers. These meticulous details distinguish the OMEGA line, with pre-installed oil and water lines and clocked compressor covers to streamline installation, saving you time and effort.

The TiAL MVI 2.5D unit is a compact wastegate actuator, standing at just 2.2” tall without fittings and an actuator rod. Its streamlined design simplifies installations in tight spaces, ideal for the OMEGA turbo kit line for the R35 GTR platform. These wastegates, crafted from CNC machined 6061 aluminum, boast exceptional durability and facilitate swift spring changes thanks to their locking cap design. While we've pre-installed the commonly used base pressure springs (18psi), we provide all springs for adjusting to your specific setup, ensuring precise boost control with unparalleled ease.
