AMS PERFORMANCE R35 GT-R OMEGA BRUSHLESS FUEL PUMP SYSTEM
AMS PERFORMANCE R35 GT-R OMEGA BRUSHLESS FUEL PUMP SYSTEM
We crafted the Omega Brushless Fuel Pump System to address long-standing fueling issues in GT-Rs. Say goodbye to bulky, noisy, and prone-to-failure setups. Our engineers dedicated over 2 years to develop the ultimate solution, ensuring optimal performance for your R35 GT-R.
Choose between our single (up to 1200whp) or dual (over 1200whp) brushless pump system
Why Is A Brushless Motor Better?
Brushed fuel pumps generate heat from friction, wearing out quickly. In contrast, brushless pumps don't suffer from wear or heat due to friction, as they're controlled electronically. AMS Omega Fuel Pumps use high-quality brushless motors and controllers for superior performance and durability.
Lower Fuel Temperature To Save Your VR38 Engine
Your R35 GT-R faces fuel overheating issues due to its position above a heat-soaked transmission and exhaust. Inefficient brushed pumps exacerbate this problem, causing fuel to boil at temperatures as low as 140°F (60°C). Boiling fuel reduces pump output, leading to lean conditions, detonation, or engine component damage.
Screw Style Pump For Maximum Fuel Output In The Most Demanding Conditions
The mechanical side of the fuel pump is crucial for pumping and pressurizing fuel. Traditional vane or impeller pumps suffer significant efficiency losses, up to 50%, at higher fuel temperatures. However, the Omega Brushless Fuel Pump utilizes a screw-style mechanism, ensuring consistent performance even at elevated temperatures.
Super High Flow And Consistent Fuel Pressure
Frequently, conventional fuel pumps experience a decline in pressure under high fuel pressures. Our advanced screw-style fuel pump maintains significantly higher pressure levels even in demanding conditions. The graph below illustrates the comparison between the Omega Brushless Fuel Pump, other market options, and a stock Bugatti pump for reference.
Whisper Quiet Operation
Upgraded fuel systems often produce more noise than stock setups, detracting from driving enjoyment with their intrusive whirring. Despite the potent horsepower capabilities of the twin-turbo VR38 engine, the Omega Pump stands out for its quieter operation. Even a single pump can deliver sufficient fuel for 1200WHP on regular gasoline (800WHP on ethanol-based fuels like E85), mitigating the need for multiple pumps and reducing overall noise levels.
Small, Easy To Install Pump Unmatched By Others
Conventional high-output fuel pumps are cumbersome, often necessitating multiple units for adequate fuel supply. Installing them inside the fuel tank can be challenging and may even require precarious external mounting. In contrast, the Omega Pump seamlessly integrates into the stock fuel tank and location, preserving the functionality of the factory fuel system. Its high capacity enables a single pump to perform the task of two conventional high-performance fuel pumps. Furthermore, our system includes a meticulously crafted CNC'd aluminum housing, along with all necessary fittings and hardware for a streamlined installation process.
Substantial Fuel Delivery Increase Without Compromise
Instead of eliminating vital functions of the fuel system, our approach integrates them seamlessly. The Omega Fuel System enhances the factory saddle-style fuel system and the factory "surge tank," originally designed to mitigate fuel starvation issues during aggressive cornering and acceleration.
User Interface Makes Custom Tuning A Breeze
Unlike typical aftermarket fuel systems, ours offers customizable fuel output to suit your specific requirements. We provide preset settings for quick setup or advanced options through an intuitive Graphic User Interface (GUI). Pump output can be controlled in three different ways, ensuring versatility and ease of use.
- Basic: Set up a constant pump output simply by raising pump duty cycle to the desired fuel pressure.
- Intermediate: Pump output can be staged based off of a switch. Using a Hobbs switch or WOT switch you can switch between two output percentages.
- Advanced: Pump output can be referenced to a 0 to 5V input. Tapping into a MAP sensor or throttle position sensor will allow the fuel pump to linearly output more fuel as you increase throttle or increase MAP.
One Fuel System To Buy
While opting for a cheaper pump initially may seem appealing, the risks of overworking it and potential engine damage can outweigh the savings. The Omega Brushless System proves cost-effective in the long run, supporting up to 1200whp with a single pump. Should you need more power, adding another pump is simple. Similar to adjusting a boost controller, fine-tune the Omega Pump controller for your specific fuel flow needs.
