At its core is the sealed cold air intake box, meticulously designed by our SnailWorks© Engineering Team to combat the power-robbing effects of heat found in lesser intake systems. By sealing out blistering engine bay temperatures and optimizing airflow, we've created a system that stands out as the pinnacle of intake design.

Upon scrutinizing other system components, our engineers identified further areas for enhancement. The intake piping has been enlarged to 90mm to facilitate greater airflow and ensure compatibility with larger aftermarket turbo compressor cover inlets in the future. This represents a significant 26.5% increase in cross-sectional area compared to the factory system, which features flow-restricting corrugations and narrows down to 65mm at the compressor cover inlet. Whether you intend to retain the stock turbo or upgrade to an aftermarket unit, our intake system is designed to accommodate your needs seamlessly.

Installation is a breeze with no cutting, trimming, or removal of additional components required. Using basic hand tools, you can have it installed in minutes! Paired with a purpose-built, reusable synthetic high-flow dry media filter, you won't need to invest in cheap factory paper filters in the future. The "Dry Media" filter eliminates messy oiling, making maintenance hassle-free. This makes our intake the top choice on the market. The washable MKV Supra synthetic media filter is meticulously designed and crafted to perfectly fit this high-performance automotive application. The filter size and configuration are finely tuned to ensure ample airflow for any MKV Supra, including upgraded turbocharged models, without compromising filter efficiency.

The newly designed large AMS airbox is crafted to evenly distribute airflow around the intake filter, promoting cold airflow across the filter's entire circumference. This results in a reduced pressure drop and extends the filter's lifespan between cleanings. The AMS Performance MKV Supra Carbon Fiber Intake Kit is engineered to achieve a 25% reduction in pressure drop, enhancing efficiency and power output. Due to the Supra's torque-based ECU tuning strategy, our SnailWorks© Engineering Team observed no significant horsepower changes with aftermarket engine components unless proper ECU calibration is performed to optimize the new hardware. Even after installing a much larger turbocharger in our test Supra, we found no horsepower gains without tuning. Don't be misled by competitors' claims of horsepower gains without ECU calibration! Our Engineers meticulously designed the fully enclosed dry air filter to draw in a larger volume of air into its hand-laid carbon fiber constructed cold air box. The matte carbon finish seamlessly complements the AMS MKV Supra Carbon Fiber Engine Cover.

Product Notes 

The filter utilizes a specially designed dry media that enables performance and efficiency to be rejuvenated to nearly new condition each time by simply applying compressed air (30-40 psi) from the inside out. This eliminates the need for frequent washing to restore filter performance. For a thorough cleaning from extreme environments, a biodegradable cleaner such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be employed. Simply immerse the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner onto it. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to eliminate residual water and allow 24 hours for drying.
