The engineering team at AMS Performance SnailWorks© has diligently worked to create innovative solutions to challenges encountered when integrating forced induction into the 5.2 FSI V10 engine, which powers the R8 and Huracan. During the development process, we identified a significant air leak at the intake manifold flange, caused by the newly introduced positive air pressure within the manifold. To address this issue, we engineered a finely crafted and anodized aluminum ring. This ring is designed to fit around each intake runner gasket, thereby providing extra sealing pressure and eliminating the air leak.
