With over 64% more core volume compared to the restrictive stock counterpart, the AMS Golf R intercooler is the ultimate solution to keep your "Hot Hatch" running cool!

Unmatched Construction 

Our Engineering Team utilized Solidworks© (3D software) to meticulously blueprint the inlet and outlets, ensuring smooth features and optimized flow geometry. The inlet side of the core underwent design using CFD software, incorporating directional vanes to promote uniform airflow and pressure distribution across the core's height. Prior to casting the first article, they 3D printed the end tanks to achieve OEM-level fitment accuracy.

The AMS Golf R Intercooler boasts a high-quality, high-efficiency tube and fin core sourced from the UK. In contrast, some competitors offer substandard cores that necessitate user modification to accommodate both types of stock radiators, and reverting to the original configuration isn't straightforward. By casting the AMS VW MK 7 Golf R Intercooler end tanks in aluminum, we sidestepped the design limitations associated with hand-fabricated construction.

The Pinnacle of Performance 
The AMS MK7 Golf R Intercooler upgrade kit utilizes the most high-performing core available. This fin and tube style core stands over 16 inches tall, spans more than 24 inches wide, and boasts a thickness of 2.25 inches. Compared to the stock piece, our Golf R intercooler is an impressive 67% thicker (50mm vs 30mm). Retaining the factory crash beam and utilizing all factory mounting points, our AMS MKVII Golf R Intercooler requires no cutting or trimming during installation.

Given that the intercooler serves as the backbone of the entire cooling system in the Golf R, its engineering is of paramount importance for optimal performance, fit, and durability. The car's A/C condenser and radiator attach to either side of the intercooler, underscoring the critical need for correct engineering to ensure ultimate functionality and longevity.
