As power levels soared beyond imagination, traction became a significant challenge for our high-performance GTRs. Despite leveraging cutting-edge technology like the advanced ATTESA E-TS 4WD system, fine-tuning suspension setups, and employing top-tier drag radials on 18-inch wheels, achieving desired 60FT times remained elusive. Drawing from our experience with the Supra platform, where we successfully addressed similar challenges years ago, we recognized the potential of downsizing rear brakes to accommodate larger sidewall tires with smaller wheels. Just as we replaced Twin Turbo model rear brakes with smaller non-turbo Supra brakes on the Supra platform, we developed our Drag Racing Brake Kit for the R35 GTR, tailored specifically for drag racing enthusiasts.

At Boost Logic, our Drag Racing Brake Kit is meticulously crafted to meet the demands of drag-racing-oriented Nissan GTRs. Unlike factory Brembo brakes, our kit enables downsizing of wheels to accommodate 15" or 16" wheels, facilitating the use of tires with thicker sidewalls and a larger contact patch.

Designed with drag racing performance in mind, this kit is engineered to deliver outstanding results on the strip and requires a parachute for optimal performance. Not only does it offer significant weight savings, but it also reduces unsprung weight, further enhancing performance and responsiveness.

• OEM Brembo Caliper – 11.4 lbs

• OEM Rear Caliper – 10.2 lbs

• OEM Front Rotor w/Pads – 25 lbs

• OEM Rear Rotor w/Pads – 26.2 lbs

Boost Logic Drag Brakes Weight:

• Boost Logic Front Caliper w/ Pads and Bracket – 4.8 lbs

• Boost Logic Front Rotor – 10 lbs

• Boost Logic Rear Rotor – 6.2 lbs

• Boost Logic Rear Caliper w/ Pads and Bracket – 4.8 lbs

The Boost Logic Drag Brake Kit significantly lightens the vehicle by a total of 94 lbs, with 83.2 lbs of that being rotational mass. By incorporating smaller rotors and calipers, Boost Logic has enabled the use of a 15" wheel in the rear, allowing for optimal sidewall size on the tires. However, due to the larger size of the spindle in the front, installing 15" wheels on the front is not feasible. Therefore, we recommend using 17" or 18" wheels for the front.
