Boost Logic's VR38DETT V2 Intake Manifold sets a new standard for performance, boasting smooth operation and a 5-pound reduction in weight compared to its predecessor. Built to outshine competitors, this manifold represents the pinnacle of engineering excellence.
Drawing from their extensive research and development in 2000hp 2JZ motors, Boost Logic has surpassed their objectives with this manifold. The manifold delivers an expanded power-band with increased torque and remarkable horsepower gains under boost, distinguishing it from competitors.
In a direct comparison between Boost Logic's manifold and a Greddy counterpart, significant power gains were observed, with Boost Logic's manifold achieving identical or even lower boost levels. These gains are particularly noticeable when compared to a stock manifold, especially in terms of torque.
Engineered using CAD, the manifold benefits from optimal dimensions and angles determined through fluid dynamics analysis, surpassing the capabilities of a sheet metal intake manifold. Boost Logic aimed to maximize performance potential for any engine/turbo setup, ensuring that this bolt-on upgrade is beneficial across various horsepower packages. The plenum size has been meticulously calculated and tailored for the VR38 engine, resulting in the highest power gains compared to both stock and other aftermarket intake manifolds. The tapered venture funnel runners are designed to maximize air velocity as it enters the cylinder.
Boost Logic opted for a one-piece design to emulate OEM manufacturing standards, minimizing the risk of boost leaks. The 80mm tube behind the throttle body flange accommodates Greddy throttle bodies and allows for compatibility with larger units that may be developed in the future.
This intake manifold boasts a unique feature in its newly designed lower runners, crafted through casting to maintain a seamless transition from the aftermarket plenum to the intake ports on the head.
For engines fueled by ethanol, the demand for power often exceeds the capacity of six injectors. Boost Logic offers an optional third rail setup, accommodating six additional injectors aimed directly into the intake port for precise fueling. This 12-Injector Option incurs an additional charge and includes a rail, brackets, and extra machining of the Boost Logic Intake Manifold, pre-mounted to the plenum upon shipment.
To accommodate the intake manifold change, we provide an upper pipe kit. Due to alterations in plenum size and throttle body location, the upper pipes require modification. Boost Logic offers a seamless solution with our one-piece pipe upgrade, available in polished or Crinkle Black finishes.
The 12-Injector Option package is inclusive of a fuel rail, mounting brackets, and machined upper plenum for the second set of injectors.
