The brand-new Z1 Carbon Fiber cold air intake designed for the Infiniti Q50 Sedan and Q60 Coupe offers an effortless performance upgrade with a significant increase in flow over stock, enhancing power and response.

Enhancing the output of turbocharged engines often involves removing any air intake restrictions. This reduces pressure across the turbo’s compressor, lowering the required turbo speed to achieve the desired air flow. Consequently, the turbocharger operates more efficiently, delivering cooler and denser air to the engine. In your Infiniti 3.0t (VR30), powered by two Garrett turbochargers, air is drawn through ducting above the core support, passes through the air filter, and enters the turbo inlet, where it's transformed into BOOST! While the factory intake system is designed for cost-effectiveness and just enough airflow for stock performance, the Z1 Intake System eliminates these restrictions, improving the air path and supporting higher horsepower applications.

The initial improvement involves replacing the stock corrugated rubber intake piping with a smooth multi-ply silicone hose, reducing intake turbulence and improving airflow. The Z1 air intake system features two specially engineered air filters for the Nissan 3.0t engine, with high-density media for effective particulate capture and exceptional airflow. Inside the filter, a velocity stack optimizes airflow and air velocity. To house these large-media filters, a sealed carbon fiber airbox is developed, ensuring cool air from the OEM intake cowl enters the intake while keeping hot air out of the engine bay. Unlike some manufacturers who use a blend of fiberglass and carbon fiber, Z1 3.0t Intakes are exclusively crafted from 100% carbon fiber for superior performance.
